CORPORATE & COMMERCIAL LAW

McCann Garland Ridall & Burke counsels many clients in corporate and commercial  transactions. These include the acquisition and sale of privately-held businesses, subsidiaries, divisions, operating groups, and significant operating assets. Our services are centered on allowing the client to operate their business without any unnecessary complexity or taxes, while protecting their personal assets from loss.

We regularly represent clients in the formation of entities to suit their particular business needs, whether that be corporations, general or limited partnerships, limited liability companies, or joint ventures. Our attorneys handle the negotiation and documentation of a wide variety of commercial transactions, including licensing arrangements, brokerage, agency, manufacturer's representative agreements, supply contracts, and franchise agreements.

The firm regularly represents one of the largest exporters of US-origin metallurgical and thermal coals in all aspects of its business, including, with the assistance of local counsel, the formation and management of subsidiaries, affiliates and joint ventures in Europe, Asia, and Australia. We also provide advice on commercial transactions involving logistics, distribution and other export-related matters.

We regularly represent both a regional lender and a not-for-profit economic development fund in the negotiation and drafting of asset-based and other commercial loan transactions in a wide variety of businesses.
